Soldiers Need Cards, Too!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post about something a few fellow bloggers are doing as a neat contribution to the war in Iraq. You may not know this, but there are no Hallmark stores in Iraq or Afghanistan! The soldiers over there need our help so that they have beautiful cards to send to their sweethearts, kids and family to help celebrate and remember special days or to send "just because". Debbi Dresser of Debbi's Dribble started a card campaign and is in hopes of receiving 400+ cards. Then Kyla Maestas of Sweetwater Designs came up with a wonderful contest on her blog to help Debbi reach that goal. There are going to be several way cool prizes for the cards being judged (by some of your favorite stampers!--hmmm...who could they be?) before they get sent overseas--Several SU Gift Certificates and even one from Eclectic Paperie (love that store!). So head on over to Kyla's blog, get the lowdown on what is needed and the rules and start stampin'!!

ETA: I sent this out this afternoon (the 18th) awaiting affirmation of the following: I was chosen to be one of the judges for this contest!!! I am among other ROCK STAR stampers such as Kendra Giles (stampscrapindiva, Inkin' It Up) and Jen del Muro (genie1314, iheart2stamp.com)! So get those cards in the mail to Kyla--I can't wait to see all of your wonderful creations!!

  1. Thanks for posting this again - my stamp club just "reworked" some local store samples to send to Iraq (they're on their way now!) How exciting!!
