I can't believe I actually did the challenge on Splitcoast for today (LSC107) I have been so behind in stamping just for fun, but I thought, 'surely, I can handle this one--it should be very fast and easy'! HA!!!--Easier said than done, my friends!! It was really hard to only use one layer, one sentiment and the rest embellishments. It's done in Bordering Blue (never used that color before! I likey!) and then stamped in Not Quite Navy (it almost sounds like this card has an inferiority complex---"bordering, and not quite"! Made me laugh, anyway, but I am a little warped sometimes). I just scraped the inkpad along the edges to get that "worn" look and add a little depth, but if it were up to me, I would have done a linen background on the entire card at least. However, it lead to a perfect opportunity to actually use some of this hardware I've been hoarding (and use it all at once--ha!)! Needless to say, this card is really heavy, hence the easel as it would not stand up on it's own. Can anyone relate to being "front-heavy"? I can!!!! After eating the Mexican Salad and Piggy Pudding, no wonder, right?
