Wonderful Cross!

Does anyone else out there wake up with a song in their head like I do? I mean, I have heard of hearing it on the radio and it being stuck there for hours on end, but I literally WAKE UP with a song in my head almost every morning. Oh, I am not complaining as it is usually a praise and worship song and I am happy to say that I think it is just God's way of reminding me He is in control!! So this morning, I woke up with the song, The Wonderful Cross rolling around up there and I am still singing it to myself! Rather than trying to shake it, I used it for inspiration to make this card. I got the idea after I received my blog candy I won from Laura Leonard (LuLa's Corner) today in the mail. Yay!! In my fun envelope there were several scallop circles punched from all the SU! bold brights cardstock, some regular white circles and six stamps from the Michael's dollar bin!! Gotta love it!! I already had the $1 Michael's cross stamp that Sheila gave me for Christmas, and the "Wonderful" sentiment was part of one of the stamps from Laura (I omitted a flower). Used my new favorite toy, my Stardust Gelly Roll pen to add just a little sparkle to the inside edge of the cross and stuck a square clear rhinestone brad in the middle. The pink ribbon is from SU!'s Flirty ribbon originals--that stuff is soooo stretchy and fun!! I really love how this turned out and is awesome in real life!!! I sure hope we get to sing this song at church in the morning!

  1. Yes, I wake up with songs in my head also. What a beautiful card Susan. I'm glad you received the blog candy okay and I'm glad to see you've already dug into it...LOL!!! Hope you are having a great weekend.

  2. I can not tell you how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this card! Wow! Thanks for sharing the story behind it - that makes it even more special! (Why did I not get me one of those cross stamps?!?!?) Oh well, guess I just have to come borrow yours! ha!

  3. Great card! I, too, am thankful for the Cross and what it means in my life! Thanks for sharing from the heart, the way you do!

  4. What a lovely card, Susie!! Truly a heartfelt inspiration!

  5. Love this card, Sus :0) You are an inspiration and I love that you are so open about your faith. I've been a Christian for 24 years and my personality is just not very flambouyant, so I seem very reserved when it comes to expressing my inner most thoughts and feelings about spiritual things. Maybe I should be more like you :0)
