Home Again, Home Again! Hooligan, Halligan!
Do any of y'all say that when you get home from somewhere? I don't know where it originates from, but my mom used to say it to me all the time and it's stuck!! Home again, home again, hooligan, halligan. Culligan, mulligan!!! Maybe she just made it up, so now I say it to my girls as we pull into the driveway after being out and about and they get to wonder what the heck it means like I still do!! Anyway, I am home from Pine Cove. We had a wonderful time!!! Yes, it was very cold and it rained the entire time we were there, but that did not stop us from getting a lot of scrapping done, a lot of talking done, and even a little "devo-time"! As you can see, it was pretty wet (Tyler got 7 inches of rain), but still beautiful and we had "no major issues" due to the weather!! Our cropping room overlooks the lake and off in the distance you can see the cross in front of the little chapel. It's lit up at night and is very pretty against the water. I got about 35 pages done with journaling and everything!! Still not caught up where I'd like to be, but a nice start on a family album that's been ready to get going! I may try and take a couple of scrapbook page pictures tomorrow and post them. (However, you won't miss much if I don't, as my scrapbook pages are kind of plain. As a former Creative Memories consultant, I still believe in only putting "safe" things in there and am still pretty loyal to them.) While we were having fun there, back at home it was getting icey and dicey, so we left a little early yesterday morning (after brunch of course--the food is so yummy!) just to make sure we would be hitting the ice in Dallas during the warmer part of the day. Luckily, we did not have any problems--we actually got home before all the bad stuff started. But this morning was an issue for most people--ice everywhere, bad roads and downed power lines. We stayed home nice and cozy. Anyway, I am glad to be home safe and sound with my kiddos and hubby. When's the next retreat?
